How to Set Up an iTunes Account on your iPhone

 How to Set Up an

iTunes Account

by Merlin Dean

You want to get amp'd about Apps -- but you first need to open an iTunes Account.

Step one -- from the main screen of your iPhone, look for the magenta iTunes icon. It has a picture of a musical note with a circle around it.

Once the new page comes up, you will see all the cool Music, TV, and Movie offerings.

But you must scroll down all the way to the bottom of the page to find the Sign-In link.

Once you tap Sign In, you will be presented with Use Existing Account, and Create New Account.

If you need to create a new account, then have a credit card ready.

You will not be charged any fees for signing up. Most apps are free anyway. But if you purchase a song or movie as well as an app, having your card on file is a nice convenience.

After you enter your information, you will be taken thru Terms and Conditions, so tap Agree to go forward.

All of your iTunes purchases will now show up on your credit card each month that you purchase new Apps, though most are free!

This way you can order songs, ringtones, TV shows and films directly on to your iPhone, without having to take out a credit card each time.

Most people stock up on all the free Apps they can at first to try them out.

Once you decide which of your favorite Apps to buy, then you'll see purchases on your credit card from 99 cents on up.

The Apple ID is usually your existing email address you normally use.

Have a blast discovering the 'World of Geniuses' -- the App Store...
